Meh...papers stink. I've got to work on one on Christianity and Capitalism and another on Religion and Race Relations for one class. I also have to do a full analysis of a bank's annual statement and an analysis of the economy of Japan for another class. And a third class has me writing up a synopsis of an important anti-trust case (which I'll probably have to pick one from before the Reagan administration, since anti-trust has been a joke since 1980).
On a lighter note, I've decided to not do Student Government any more. I may sit in the House as a Representative for one of my organizations, but I won't be a Division Senator any longer.
I should probably explain our government system a bit better. The SGA is split into two bodies, the House and the Senate. The House consists of a voting represenative from every student-run organization on campus (currently 71), while the Senate is currently three Senators from each academic division (Natural Science, Social Science, and Humanities), along with three from First-Year Students or Undeclared Majors. I'm a Representative and a Senator right now. As if that weren't screwing up the balance of power already, I'm also on the Student Advisory Committee, our highest judicial body that includes students. And it's just too much, so I'm going to drop some of it and focus more on my organizations next year.
Well, enough rambling and venting. It's 12:30, and I've got off tomorrow and Friday for a Bible Symposium here on Mary Magdalene, which I don't want to miss.
